Disc Vertical Injection Molding Machine is the most optimized option for precision insert-molding parts. Vertical injection molding is capable of high-speed clamping and low-pressure safety locking. Moreover, through the multi-stage temperature control, injection speed, and back-pressure control system, it is able to ensure the mold flow inside the tool being identical to the finished product size. A double alloy tube is applicable for a variety of precision insert-molding parts. The characteristics of rotary disc structure are that one stand is for the molding, and the other is for ejection or multi-mode function. This makes it suitable for complex insert-molding technology. It offers good positioning ability for the parts. Through the precision injection mold, the accuracy and stability of the injection machine can be nicely maintained.

Coming up with the best solution that integrates injection molding and double injection molding technology, LAYANA introduces using the double alloy material tube set, to make mass production operating even smoother, and offers the best service for customers, which includes precision injection mold, progressive die, OEM tool manufacturing, injection molding, stamping parts processing, and parts assembly. The above services are applicable for medical equipment, auto parts, electric assembly parts, connector parts, sensor parts, and so on. Cutlery Factory – Insert-molding Technology: There are exclusive drying and mixing machines for food-grade materials. These materials will then be put into the disc vertical injection molding machine for production. The combination of food-grade resin and 18/10 stainless steel, satisfies the expectation that customers hold for cutlery.

FAQs

Q: If the mold gate is not amendable, what is the difference between using vertical and horizontal injection machines?

A: Basically, the mold gate and is amendable, perhaps through welding, laser soldering, or wire-cutting inserts (may have welding line issue). Differences between vertical and horizontal injection machines are as below:

(1)Horizontal Injection Machine:This is the most common type. Clamping and resin injection are at the same level center, and the mold parting direction is horizontal. Its features are low machinery height, easier to handle and maintain; low center of gravity, more stable to install; after ejection, parts can fall off automatically through gravity, which is easier to make full-automatic operation feasible. Currently, injection molding machines are mostly this type.

(2)Vertical Injection Machine:Clamping and resin injection are at the same vertical center, and the mold parting direction is vertical. Therefore, it takes up less floor area, which is easier to install inserts, and more convenient to install/uninstall toolings. The material coming off the hopper can be molded in a more average way. Yet the finished parts do not drop off easily, manually fetching is necessary, which makes it difficult to achieve full-automatic operation. Vertical injection machine is suitable for small size injection machines, mostly used for injection machines that have injection weight less than 60g. Medium or large size injection machines are not applicable.

Q: Vertical Injection Machine (90 Tons) provides injection pressure at 1300~3600 kg/cm2. Will there be a situation when tooling is too long and causes the part not to be fully shot? How to avoid it?

A: A machinery size is normally presented by the shot weight and clamping strength. To avoid the lack of material issue, the first step is to fix the problem that causes the insufficient shot amount. After that comes the pressure issue. As for how to avoid the lack of material problem, the main focus is at the mold design stage. Whether the mold is suitable for vertical or horizontal injection machines, should be taken into consideration by then.
