Automotive supplier uses AMRs to boost efficiency
Autonomous control,Improved efficiency
An autonomous mobile robot (AMR) is any robot that can understand and move through its environment without being overseen directly by an operator or on a fixed predetermined path. The Autonomous Mobile management platform provides autonomous delivery to specified fields; it saves more labor and increases work efficiency more effectively.
In a warehouse and distribution center environment, these sophisticated technologies are integrated with the warehouse’s control systems, which allow AMRs increased flexibility to create their own routes between locations within a warehouse or facility. The AMR equipment introduced by Layana can cooperatively carry goods weighing up to 30 KG, assisting and reducing complicated and repetitive manual work in an automated manner.
Positioning navigation
It uses AMR and RGBD depth cameras for self-identified map surveying, smart route planning, accurate geotagging, and performing real-time analysis of the site environment by calculating complex data, avoiding barriers easily, and realizing fully autonomous navigation.
It detects the traffic or the things that have blocked their pathway. The robot has the ability to communicate and move out of the way or make adjustments or even come to a complete stop and allow the other foot traffic to continue on.
AMRs created unexpected benefits
Compared to manual operations, or a traditionally automated environment, the use of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) can help improve the efficiency of logistics and supply chain operations of all sizes. The robot can deliver service to fixed locations at fixed times, or on demand, and connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AIoT, and Web services to enable remote control experiences. AMR offers huge advantages for efficiency, growth, scalability, and speed. Technology and innovation are very much a part of what we need to focus on going forward.
Application fields:
large factory parks, airports, warehouses, restaurants, schools, shopping malls, medical institutions, retail stores.
In 2022, Layana introduced autonomous mobile robots (AMR) to achieve automated transport of inspection parts in the production process.
The Lovebot robot is deployed in the production area, which can move freely and significantly improve efficiency in the delivery of small items, such as interdepartmental objects in the factory. The Lovebot robot is compact and equipped with an RGBD depth camera that can automatically avoid obstacles and move around easily, even in narrow 55cm-wide passages. While moving in the factory, it is equipped with 3D detection and automatic obstacle avoidance technology to avoid obstacles caused by personnel in real time. The robot's mobile equipment is also equipped with a "detachable tray" that can be adjusted according to the size of the inspection parts.

Enhanced Safety for Workers, Improved Efficiency and Productivity
Layana has taken advantage of the automated material delivery function of the Lovebot robot to transport parts for inspection from the tray to the quality assurance department replacing manual delivery. As the inspected items are generally small, there is no risk of the parts falling off during transportation. The company is continuously introducing automation-related systems and equipment, from the Lovebot robot to automated storage, which significantly reduces the operational risks for workers, ultimately improving work quality and efficiency.
